Message from the Principal
YES, IT’S SPORTS DAYS
On Tuesday we started on the 153 listed events that make up our school’s Sports Days by completing the Jumps, Throws and the 400 metre races. The event count does not include the two Kindy Sports Sessions!
To get ready for so many events with over 600 children takes a fair amount of effort and patience, but a worthwhile endeavour. Thanks go to teaching staff, a wide range of support staff, office staff and admin team members for making this week of events possible.
The support of your P&C Association means that key traditional activities are going ahead from the Canteen Lunch Special, raffles, to ribbons for place getters even in these COVID times.
COMING TO SCHOOL
As this term has been the only “normal” term this year we are sending home a full copy of every student’s attendance record for Term Three on Monday, including the weeks up to the end of Week Eight, to acknowledge sound attendance and clearly inform families of their children’s attendance.
While it is important for children to stay home when ill, it is vital to attend every day that they are well, and avoid soft options such as a day off for a birthday.
Those students with a 90% or greater attendance will have a big gold sticker attached to their record sheet.
Our best attendance class this term is…Year Two, Room 11 …. where every child will be bringing home a gold sticker attendance record. Well done Miss Edwards and Room 11 students and families!
SPORTS DAY GUIDELINES
Families are asked to stay behind barriers, socially distance as much as is practical, not visit faction bays, and collect students from their class at the end of the day.
By following these basic guidelines, we can hold our Sports Days and stay safe.
The P&C are requesting raffle donations.
If any families own a business or know of someone that does, and would be willing to donate vouchers, items or services for the Sports Carnival raffles, please contact email@example.com
(Due to Covid-19 restrictions, food items can’t be accepted)
